Baffles and Cowl.... - 5.0 hrs

Today I started with the cowl strips below the top skin. I removed them and cleaned up the edges with a scotchbrite wheel. Then I used a squeezer and riveted them in place. Now I wont have to fight those clecos anymore.

Next I clecoed the inlet ramps to the front edge of the cowl. I marked the curve of the inlet ramps to the front top edge of the forward baffles. Removed them and trimmed and cleaned up on the grinder.

Reinstalled the top cowl and checked fit. Still needed to remove and trim a bit more. Finally got it to fit.

Next I mixed up a batch of epoxy and brushed it on the inlet ramps. Then clecoed in place. While it was drying I mixed in some flox in the epoxy that was left. I used the thick mixture to fill in around the edges to fill in some gaps. I am going to wait to drill in the front edges. The plans say to do this with the top cowl in place as the inlets give the top extra strength.
