Builders Group Meeting.... - 2.0 hrs

Gone to DC last week on vacation. No work on the plane lately. Today the RV Builders group was to meet at Carl's but we only had 4 turn out. I know there are others building so not sure why the low turnout.

Kevin calls me "Mr. 3rd party product for RV's" and I forgot to show him my latest little jewel. Its a part from Cleavland Aircraft Tools. Its only 17 bucks and it solves the problem of how to connect the rear strobe position light on the rudder fairing. You rivet it in place with 6 pulled rivets and the result is a clean metal surface to mount to that is already tapped for the proper size screws that come in the tail light from Van's.

After the group left I didn't get much done on the plane but I wanted to start work on the canopy trim pieces. I cut the canopy backup pieces down to 30 inches from 32 and and trimed off the 3/16th inch off the front per the plans.

Looks like then are going to fit nicely. Tomorrow I am going to help Jon with his 4.
