More Canopy Frame.... - 4.0 hrs

Happy 4th of July! Today I get to the airport and guess what sits on the front line. An Eclipse jet. I never would of thought you could land one of these on our runway.

Snapped a few pics. The cabin looks very nice. Joysticks on both sides with an all glass panel. Keyboard drops down in front of the pilot to program everything.

Started out dilling the bolt holes for the canopy rollers. Once this was done the canopy frame pulled back from the rollbar. I removed the screws for the center rear canopy track. This took some doing as I had to climb in and remove the baggage bulkhead and remove the nut on the threaded rod to allow the track to move forward. Next I removed the 5 other screws and then moved the canopy to the closed position. I clamped this in place and then started checking the screw holes to see how far I needed to move the track forward.

Now the sides of the canopy frame are 2 and 1/4 inch off the track. Looks like this will work. Time to head to Fred and Judy's for some 4th of July party fun. I will redrill these holes tomorrow.
