Baffles.... - 2.0 hrs

Almost ready to start working on parts. Last thing was to put the bags of little things in the trays and mark. Mr. Baker showed up to check on progress. Of course he commented on how the new baffle kit is cheating. :) Gotta love it.

i had to leave after a bit but came back to the hangar in the afternoon. As I drove in I noticed 2 news trucks up by the gas pumps. Turns out one of the helicopters from the school tried to takeoff across the runway at midfield while a T6 was taking off. The T6 was on the takeoff roll and when the helicopter crossed in front of the plane a part of the helicopter hit the wing tip of the T6. The T6 was committed on the takeoff so it went around the pattern and did an emergency landing.

The witnesses I spoke to said the helo was in the grass field in front of my hangar. The picture above shows the helo down in front of the helicopter school office. Not sure how the heck it got all the say down there.

The T6 taxied on down to the very end and parked and the emergency crews have marked it all off with the yellow tape.
