More Cowl and Misc.... - 2.0 hrs

This fiberglass work makes you have to jump around while you wait for things to harden and such. Tonight I wanted to check on the cowl hole filling and do some sanding.

On the top cowl I used plastic held in place with masking tape on the finish side of the cowl. When I removed it there are still raised areas where the epoxy flox mixture pushed thru but it sanded off pretty smoothly. I think I will still do some more finisih sanding and then mix up some micro balloons to skim it as this should feather out better.

I moved on to the cam stips and counter sunk the rivet holes on the upper cam strips. Since these are curved I just went camando and didnt use the counter sink stop. I just went slowly and tested with a rivet for flushness.

Last I fit and drilled the other fiberglass rear canopy fairing. This fits smoother and may work better. I am going to get Jim K's opinion before I go further.
