More Cowling Work.... - 2.0 hrs

Continued on with work on the side camstrips. Cut 2 more pieces to run down the sides. Did some checking on scaloping the sides and some have done it but some say not to. That it makes it easier to install and remove if you leave the sides unscalloped.

Anyway the point of today is to at least get the stips done so I can move on with fitting the cowling. After cutting the strips I drilled and clecoed the strips in place.

Next I removed to deburr and countersink. Reinstalled and trial marked for placement of the camlocks using the camlock jig.

I need to order 2 strips from VANs to install down the sides of the bottom cowl. On this one I will scallop the edges and install the camlocks in the top cowl. I think I will order 2 different thicknesses for the sides.
