Fuselage April 2008 Updates

Mounted the sniffle valve in the bottom of the sump. Started to hang the exhaust and found it hits the exhaust. Had to move it to the back hole like you would for a tail dragger.

Next I had to remove the firewall connection of the fuel hose and tighten the nut on the elbow. Gary helped me from the outside and I climbed in and got down under the panel. I hope this does not have to happen very much. On top of being a tight fit. I am too old for this crap!

Next while Gary was there he helped me bolt up the exhaust. The issue is you have to insert a piece from one side of the engine and then bolt up both sides at the same time. Looks pretty sweet. Things are starting to get tight now.

Last I started looking at how I am going to snake the throttle cable thru the firewall and under then sump and up to the throttle arm on the fuel injector. There is not much room and its going to be very close to the exhaust. And I have to come up with a bracket design. I got the bracket out from Van's. It is for a carb engine but it looks like I could cut the side for the throttle cable and make it work. I marked a line where I would cut it. Going to take some work but I need to cut the hole in the firewall first and mount the eyeball.
