Cowl Work.... - 2.0 hrs
Tonight I wanted to enlarge some of the holes to fit the Milspec grommets. I started with a small unitbit and enlarged the center holes to 15/32 including the hole in the camstrip.
I only did every other hole so I can still use the other ones to cleco the cowl back in place. Next I removed the top cowl and used the larger unibit to enlarge the hole in the camstip to the size of the recepticals.
I test fit some of the grommets. You can get a feel for how it looks. I need to check to see if its easy to remove the snap rings which hold the grommets in place. They really need to be installed but then removed to prepare for priming with Smooth Prime.
This website was built to document my work in compliance with the FAA requirements
needed to certify my aircraft. My experiences and comments are by no means to be
considered as instructions on how to build any aircraft.
