Sump and Fuel Servo AD complete.... - 6.0 hrs

Beautiful day today. Started out cool and low humidity. Kind of breezy though. Firt thing was to weedeat all around the hangar. Then I borrowed Gary's lawn mower and mowed all around the my hangar and Gary's and all in between. Good weather for the exercise.

Next I tarted putting the intake pipes on and torqued per the instructions. Actually didn't torque until the next day but hey its done correctly. Hopefully the exhaust comes this week so I can mount that next.

Next Jon stopped by and helped me with the AD on the fuel injector. Precision sent me a new gasket. Cut the safety wire and installed the gasket. Then used the 2nd method to safetie the nut in place. Good to go.

Jon installed the quick drain on the bottom of the sump and safetied. Jon needed to get home and jumped on his hog for the ride home. I safetied the finger valve in the bottom of the sump.

This week I ordered some things from Spruce and Avery. I picked up a plug socket from Avery as the one I ordered from Spruce never showed up. Back order forever. They also have these nice temp hinge pins that allow you to unscrew the handle from the pin. The ones I bought from Cleaveland work good but then the pin is hanging out and can damage the skins when the control surfaces move. I replaced the elevator pins with these. They work great. Should help when riging the bolts for final.

Last I put the dehydrator plugs in the sparkplug holes. I forget there are 4 on the bottom as well. These stay in until first engine start to keep out moisture. I switched out the restictor 45 fitting with the plain one for the fuel pump sensor and installed the overflow tube. I need to wait until the cowl gets installed to see where the best place to install the remote tube needs to go.
