Ryton Sump off and New one on.... - 2.0 hrs

Driving down the feeder road to the airport everything was blocked off. I could see Life Flight in the middle of the feeder and cops had everything blocked off at the entrance to the airport in fronot of Carls BBQ. Turns out a guy on a little scooter was riding down the feeder road and a car exiting in front of the reastaraunt hit him. I hope he is ok. Once Life Flight left things cleared up and I was able to enter.

Mike was already there to meet me. He was just stopping by but ended up staying and helping me drop the old sump and replacing it with the new one. Once I had the Ryton off I cleaned up the gasket edge on the bottom of the engine. Removed the finger screen from the old sump and replaced the copper crush gasket.

We put in a bolt on each side and then added each one replacing the star lock washers along the way. Once all the bolts were in we torqued them to 100 inch lbs per the instructions from Superior.

Last I cut off 1/2 inch from the dip stick and ground the part number off per the instructions. I added the data plate to the new sump. Superior never attached it to the Ryton sump as they knew at engine ship that I was going to get the new sump. Now its ready to add the intake pipes and should be ready to install the exhaust once Vetterman sends me the replacement.
