New Cold Air Sump.... - 3.0 hrs

Got home from work and first thing I did was look on the front porch. Nothing. And then I heard the big truck out front. Checked again and there it was. A box from Superior. What great service. I love it when a company does what they say they are going to do.

So I ran down to the hangar and opened it up. Man is it pretty. Checkout that quality. Notice how the intake is outside the sump to reduce the intake air from getting preheated. Hence the name Cold Air Sump.

I also talked to Larry Vetterman today. I had sent him an email the day before with a picture of the #1 exhaust touching the #1 intake pipe. He called me back first thing this morning. Again what great service. We discussed the situation and he said it was his mistake and he would make it right and for me to send this one back and he would replace it with a new one for the Superior Horizonal Sump.

Next I took off the exhaust to get it ready to ship back to Vetterman. Next I put the rubber tubes on the new intake tubes. I got to thinking that to remove the Ryton sump to replace it I will need to do an oil drain as this engine was prepped for storage. I better do some more research before I move forward.

Started working on the alternator again. I will need to get another belt but I need to get the bracket holes slotted as well. I removed it after checking the pulleys for alignment. Looks like 3/32 of slot will work.
