Empennage October Updates October 16, 2004 Started on the Elevators Deburred stiffeners for left elevator. Machine countersunk E-709 foot and dimpled elevator spar to accept flush rivets. Deburred stiffeners for right elevator. Removed plastic on elevator skins from inside and along rivet lines. When countersinking foot brace for right elevator I enlarged the rivet hole too much. Will have to order a new part. Moving on to left elevator frame buildup. This website was built to document my work in compliance with the FAA requirements needed to certify my aircraft.
