Empennage November Updates November 23, 2004 Left Elevator Clecoed left elevator frame together. Machine dimpled the trailing edge spar. Dimpled the other pieces with the squeezer. Clecoed the skin onto the frame and final drilled the holes I missed earlier. Deburred and dimpled the counterweight skin. Primed the frame pieces and am ready to dimple the frame. This is also the part where I have to install the trim servo for the electric trim tab. After reviewing Jeff B.'s site I noticed there are some issues with spacing. I will most likely use his method of adding some spacers to raise the servo up enough to clear the backrivet heads. This website was built to document my work in compliance with the FAA requirements needed to certify my aircraft.
