Empennage January 2005 Updates January 01, 2005 Elevator Completion Well its a new year so it is time to hit it! Gotta get these elevators done and start getting the garage cleaned up for the deliver of the fuselage in 2 weeks. Used my new proseal gun that I bought on ebay for 30 bucks. Again anyting pnuematic is pretty cool. Just mixed it up in the tube and inserted the tube in the gun. Plugged the gun into the compressor hose and off to the races. Per the instructions I injected proseal into the trailing edge at each point where the upper and lower stiffeners come together. Then I buttoned up each elevator with clecos and riveted them closed except for one row of rivets that on the top left side that holds the trim tab hinge. Next I started to roll the leading edges to complete the process. Started getting late so I hit the hay and will finish up tomorrow. I had to take a break at 4pm to watch the RoseBowl. What a game. Texas won 38-37 with a game winning field goal with 2 seconds left. UT came up smelling like Roses. Hookem Horns!
