Empennage August Updates
August 29, 2004
Well I started the day today completeing the dimpleing of the left HS skin using the DRDT-2. I really like this thing since it is so quite. It works so smooth.

Then I got an importnt call. Phil Birklebach called me and invited me over to see his RV. I emailed him before I went on vacation a few weeks ago and he said to call him any time. It is getting very close to completion and looks great. I took my headset over so we could test the intercom. He has done a great job on the wiring and I can really tell there is a lot of work in the wiring of this machine.

When I got home I started on the riveting of the left HS. The first rivets on the HS-707 was a bit slow but then I got into the swing. Going over to see Phil's plane was good motivation. I can tell you I am going to learn a ton from Phil!
